The Mi’gmawei Mawiomi Business Corporation (MMBC) is pleased to announce that the 2026 Scholarship & Bursary Program has been re-opened with an extended application deadline, providing another opportunity for eligible students from Gesgapegiag, Gespeg, and Listuguj to apply.
The program provides financial assistance to support members in achieving their educational goals. This year, MMBC has also increased the overall program budget to allow for more awards to be provided to members.
The following awards are available:
Scholarships are available to eligible students in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 (B average) or higher who demonstrate financial need. Bursaries are available to vocational students and other eligible students who demonstrate financial need.
Eligible applicants include students furthering their education through vocational training, college, or university. The program is available exclusively to registered band members of Gesgapegiag, Gespeg, and Listuguj.
The new application deadline is October 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) EST.
Applicants must submit their completed application and all required supporting documents together in one complete submission. Applications can be submitted through the MMBC website or by email. Paper applications are not accepted.
Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the updated 2026 Scholarship & Bursary Program Guidelines and Application, including the application checklist and scoring criteria, before submitting.
