Mi'gmawei Mawiomi Business Corporation (MMBC), as an economic partner of McInnis Cement, is sharing this call for proposals for the upcoming 2025 Winter Shutdown. This opportunity is open to qualified contractors to support maintenance work at the McInnis Cement plant in Port-Daniel–Gascons, located in the heart of Gespe'gewa'gi.
McInnis Cement is inviting fixed-price proposals for cleaning work on the Preheating Tower as part of the Winter Annual Shutdown, scheduled to take place February 7–14, 2025 (subject to official confirmation). The full project duration is 21 days, operating in two 12-hour shifts (day and night).
Contractors will be responsible for safely cleaning the Preheating Tower using rope access technicians. This includes:
All work must meet McInnis and provincial safety standards, including protocols for confined spaces, lockout, fall arrest, and WHMIS compliance. Contractors must be Avetta-registered with compliant status.
Proposals must include:
Project management
Equipment and freight transport
Confined space monitoring
Rescue plan
Construction trailer, vehicles, and consumables
Contractors are responsible for providing all specialized tools and ensuring proper certification.
